This area of my site will be devoted to Photos and Drawings of my sculptural objects and designs defined by 3 dimensional space and will include archive photos of props, animatronic puppets and set designs for movies, advertising and theatrical presentations.
The Puppetry page has examples of quality hand made puppets and and links to how they are made as well links off site to a production companies and puppeteers I worked with in the past.
And…a little background…
I am a freelance artist entrepreneur living in the beautiful Grand Canyon State of Arizona. I have been involved to varying degrees in some aspect of the arts almost since my first memories began to form. I was blessed with a loving nurturing family and encouraged to explore and develop new venues of experience whether learning to play an instrument as a boy, sailing a boat on the ocean or hiking the desert foothills of Southern California as a teen.
While growing up there were cameras available to me and with encouragement to learn photography and darkroom techniques I watched my Dad in his home built photo lab in an upstairs water closet.
As a young adult I developed design and engineering skills working in his machine shop producing precision parts for aerospace and other manufacturing industries.
After the Vietnam conflict, I attended California Institute of the Arts on the GI bill and finished my GI bill studying Art, Physics, Lighting and Stage design at the University of Oregon and Lane Community College.

I recently finished this Pastoral scene of three cows standing in a New England field. It is a serene image with the cows looking inquisitively at the viewer. I like to think they are innocents who see the souls of the viewers.
