And…a little background…
I am a freelance artist entrepreneur living in the beautiful Grand Canyon State of Arizona. I have been involved to varying degrees in some aspect of the arts almost since my first memories began to form. I was blessed with a loving nurturing family and encouraged to explore and develop new venues of experience whether learning to play an instrument as a boy, sailing a boat on the ocean or hiking the desert foothills of Southern California as a teen.
While growing up there were cameras available to me and with encouragement to learn photography and darkroom techniques I watched my Dad in his home built photo lab in an upstairs water closet.
As a young adult I developed design and engineering skills working in his machine shop producing precision parts for aerospace and other manufacturing industries.
After the Vietnam conflict, I attended California Institute of the Arts on the GI bill and finished my GI bill studying Art, Physics, Lighting and Stage design at the University of Oregon and Lane Community College.
