If you look carefully where a piano player ought to be you can discern a small bald head just to the left of the shoulder of the gentleman with the glasses. That’s Shorty.

I’ve never been to Venice, but it looks like my kind of place.

This is a my first excursion into the realm of watercolor pencils. Drawn from a photograph produced by Alexander Strahilov. All of the small architectural details looked like they would lend themselves to a pencil technique with the added component of water color.

This is a Pastel drawing done from a photograph I took while out hiking the woods of North Eastern Connecticut and Rhode Island. I came across an old abandoned textile mill that was slowly being returned nature.

I framed this drawing using wood from an old bed frame I found on a hike in the Mohave Desert in Arizona. I thought it apropos considering the nature of the image.
